Tell me why

标准

I happened to listen to his song, Tell me why. this song drives me to write something to remember my feelings. A twelve-year-old boy wants to prove who he is, he wants to figure out why his counterparts in Africa and other areas have shockingly different life. While you are enjoying, do you still remember those who suffer? they suffer, maybe because of their own reasons, but more likely, it is the product of the society. people in Iraq are not born to be soldier and fight all year round. Child only needs peaceful and warm life, which is normal and nothing luxurious. But the cost of getting this is blood, war, and seperation from their daddies, and lost of their families. they need our help, sincere help. they are not tools. children are children, no politics, nothing than simple innocence.

It is good that Declan asks. what we lack is sympathy and action followed. a song, a summer here, a passage, helps little, but accumulated, it is changing force.

lyrics

Tell Me Why
In my dream,children sing
A song of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue and fields are green:
And laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see
Is a world full of people in need

Tell me why(why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something i have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don’t understand
When so many need somebody
We don’t give a helping hand
Tell me why?
Everyday I ask myself
What will I have to do to be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight
To prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for
To waste in a world full of war?

Tell me why? Tell me why?
Tell me why? Tell me why?
Just tell me why, why, why?

Tell me why (why, why, does the tiger run)
Tell me why (why why do we shoot the gun)
Tell me why (why, why do we never learn)
Can someone tell us why we let the forest burn?
(why, why do we say we care)
Tell me why (why,why)

never knowing

I hear this old story before

Where the people keep killing for the metaphors

Don’t leave much up to the imagination

So I , wanna give this imagery back

But I know it just ain’t so easy like that

So , I turn the page and read the story again

And again and again

It sure seems the same, with a different name

We’re breading and rebuilding

And we are growing always guessing

Never knowing

Shocking but we are nothing

We are just moments

We are clever but we are clueless

We are just human

Amusing but confusing

Were trying but where is this all leading

Never know

It all happened so much faster

Than you could say disaster

Wanna take a time lapse

And look at it backwards

From the last one

And maybe that is just the answer

That we are after but after all

We are just a bubble in a boiling pot

Just one breath in a chain of thought

The moments just combusting

Feel certain but we will never never know

Just seems the same give it a different name

We are begging and we are needing

And we are trying and we are breathing

Never knowing

Shocking but we are nothing

We are just moments

We are clever but we are cluless

We are just human

Amusing but confusing

Helping, we are building

And we are growing never know

Knock knock on the door to door

Tell ya that the metaphor is better than your

And you can either sink or swim

Things are looking pretty grim

If you don’t believe it what this one feeding

Its got no feeling

So I read it again

Just seems the same

To many different names

Out hearts are strong our heads are week

We will always be competing never knowing

Never knowing

Shocking but we are nothing

We are just moments

We are clever but we are clueless

We are just human

Amusing but confusing

But the truth is

All we got is questions

We will never know

Never know

Never know

The broken-into-pieces Plato Reading

标准

WOW,it is pretty tired after that small piece of philosophical reading. It is interesting to find out that the philosophers are so lovely and cute. But most times, they confuse you by using logics and wisdoms.

Why does Plato pay so much attention on JUSTICE? Because of the death of his tutor Socrates, or because of the defeat of democratic Athens? Plato pays attention on KNOWLEDGE,which is easy to understand. He even wanted to depise a Republic in which people are educated to be justice. Are all the philosophers arrogant and think of himself or herself to be the only one who holds the truth? I just have the impression. Maybe they are qualified to do so. (most likely qualified by themselves)

Athenean democracy can been seen as populism today. Only knowledge can make democracy move forward.  Only philosophors have the ability and knowledge to rule. Who is philosopher? Is Socrates or Plato THE philosopher who can be entitled to rule a polity?

What is Politics? Plato might give me the answer that Politics is a skill to rule , is a mean so that people receive the rule of philosopher king, is a profession for the common good.

What is the central political virtue Plato perceived? JUSTICE

What is the motivation for anyone to hold justice? Happiness

Maybe the piece will be woven into a whole story when I finish Republic.

Take a rest and read my mother tounge piece…YEAH!

a position needs its contradiction to move to a higher stage of synthsis.

positions offered as truths or as objections to truths are gathered into truths which become truer by becoing more comprehensive. They are not afraid of being polluted by some idiots? I mean everyone’s explanation contributes to truth?

Obama: Nobel Peace Prize “A call to action”

标准

Obama: Nobel Prize \”A call to action\”I am both surprised and deeply humble by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear that I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments. But rather it is an information of American leadership on behalf of that aspirations held by our people in our nations. To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the accompany of so many transformative figures who had been honored by this prize. Man and women who have spared me has spared the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace. But I notice this prize reflex the kind of world that men and women in America want to build, the world that gives us the promise of our founding document. And I know that through out the history, the Noble Peace Prize has not only been used to award specific achievements, it’s also used as a means to give momentum to a set of courses. That is why I will accept the award as “A call to action”, a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century.

Even as we strike to seek a world in which conflicts are resolved peacefully and prosperity is widely shared, we have to confront the world as we know it today. I am the commander in chief of the country that is responsible for ending a war and working in another theater to confront a rudeless adversary that directly threatens the American people and our alliance. I am also aware that we are dealing with the impact of a global economic crisis that millions of Americans looking for work is a concern that I confront everyday on behalf of the American people. Some of the work confronting us would not be completed during my presidency. Some like the elimination of nuclear weapons may not be completed during my lifetime. But I know this challenges came be met so long as it is recognized they would not be met by one person, or one nation alone. This world is not simply by the efforts of my administration, and it is by the courageous efforts of people around the world. That is why the award has to be shared with everyone who strives for justice and dignity.
